Professor Paul WOOD
Keynote Over 45-year career, Pr Paul WOOD have amassed extensive experience in advanced manufacturing and materials across the transport, nuclear, and healthcare sectors, both in academic research and industry. His contributions include over 150 research articles with over 80 published in esteemed journals and conferences, along with the authorship or co-authorship of 2 books and 10 book chapters. Also, he had the honor of being BSI's nominated principal expert for developing ISO 26203-2 (2011), which references two of his published articles. In recognition of his contributions to science and technology, he received a generous grant gift from a prominent international OEM in 2010 to enhance safety for lightweight vehicles. Current interests: process-structure-properties of material behaviour under a wide range of loading and environmental conditions; modelling and experiments |
Doctor Pawel PLATEK
Keynote Dr. Pawel PLATEK works at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Armament and Aerospace, Military University of Technology (Warsaw, Poland). His work is focused on applications of Additive Manufacturing in the development of regular cellular materials dedicated to energy absorption applications. Furthermore, he is interested in the evaluation of mechanical properties of materials under dynamic loading conditions and the prediction of material behaviour under various loading conditions with the use of numerical methods. His recent scientific activity is focused on the development of new metal powder materials based on Fe and Cu dedicated to Metal Additive Manufacturing systems. |
